The academic programs at Clarke Preparatory School are geared to see that the school mission statement is accomplished. Clarke Preparatory School offers a full academic, Christian based curriculum, beginning with the A Beka reading program and continuing with advanced studies through the twelfth grade.
Lower Elementary-
K4-K5- focus on language development, math concepts, phonics, science, social skills, computer and creativity. Children learn through play and hands on activities, experimentation and exploration, which helps cognitive, physical, emotional and social development.
Grades 1-3- focus on reading, phonics, accelerated reading, handwriting, language arts, math, science and social studies in the classroom. The day is enhanced with physical education, library, art, music and computer. Students in grades 1-3 are offered the following academic competition and team sports: spelling bee, art fair, Farm City state poster contest, Soil and Water poster contest, football (grade 3) and cheerleading (grade 3).
Grades 4-6- focus on reading, accelerated reading, language arts, math, science and social studies in the classroom. The day is enhanced with physical education, library, art, music and computer. TOP Teaching (Teaching Outside the Parameters) is and exciting program used in grades 4-12. This program helps develop the student's critical thinking skills and better prepares them for college. Students in grades 4-6 are offered the following academic competition and team sports: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Junior Beta Club, spelling bee, art fair, science fair, football, cheerleading and band.
Junior high and high school-
Students are offered a challenging curriculum that prepares them for success at the college of their choice. Students in grades 7-12 are offered the following club opportunities and academic competitions: Scholars Bowl, art fair, oratorical contest, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Government Association, Beta Club and band.
